Cabling Services Technician
Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities:
- To install, maintain, and repair ethernet and coaxial cable systems for both commercial and residential clients.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Install cable infrastructure as assigned. To Include Cables, and Racks.
- Install, cable infrastructure, Camera Systems, and viewing Screens as assigned.
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair existing cable systems as directed.
- Install cable support structure as needed (Bridle Rings, J-Hooks, cable trays)
- Ensure all cable systems are properly labeled and neatly tied in accordance with TIA Standards.
- Complete Project Documentation and Notes as assigned.
- Complete other assigned paperwork such as timesheets, checklists, and service orders
- Perform light Building Maintenance Tasks, (Aire Filter Replacement, Ceiling Tile Replacement)
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Education Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED
Required Skills and Experience:
- General experience in this field; Ability to establish priorities, be a self-starter, work independently, follow instructions, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
Preferred Skills & Technical Certifications:
- Specific training courses in this field; Knowledge of Telecommunication Cabling Standards, proper termination of Leviton and Panduit data cable devices, and Middle Atlantic Rack Equipment.
- Experience specific to this position; Knowledge of modern cabling standards, building structures, and safety practices.

- Ability to lift up to 70lbs, assist in product delivery, work from ladder and lift equipment.
