As we approach the Labor Day holiday, SCI would like to reflect on how workers in essential services kept our community and nation running in-spite of the coronavirus pandemic. Thank you to the doctors and nurses, emergency services and first responders, and to the farmers, truck drivers, grocery store clerks, and all who keep us safe, fed, and healthy.
SCI was designated an “essential service” so we were never completely shut down by the government, but we know others were not so lucky. SCI has been providing technology and services necessary to work remotely for years, but never could have imagined it would take a pandemic to highlight the usefulness of these prescient offerings.
Thanks to SCI, medical and dialysis centers continued to monitor patients, fire companies and emergency services continued to function, and doctors’ offices and insurance agencies stayed open. We believe in the dignity of work, are proud of our work, and will continue to help educate and tool the workforce with the technology it needs to survive and thrive. Happy Labor Day, America!
